Hello from Treating Yourself Magazine, the alternative medicine journal, a bimonthly publication written for patients, by patients that concentrates on the medical use of cannabis.
We at the TY family would like to cordially invite you to participate in the Treating Yourself Medical Marijuana and Hemp Expo 2010. This is the first event of its kind in Canada. The Expo will take place July 16-18 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
The Expo is expected to get more than 30,000 people in attendance. We have sponsors and exhibitors from across Europe and North America. This one-of-a-kind event will feature the world’s largest vapor lounge,a facility-approved legal 4,600 square foot lounge, to accommodate attending medical marijuana patients who can feel comfortable and relaxed while medicating at the event.
Along the knowledgeable exhibitors in an array of fields, the Expo will also feature workshops and lectures by top health care experts and authors, such as Dr. Bob Melamede, Dr. Paul Hornby, Dr. Juan Sanchez-Ramos, Mary Lynn Mathre, RN, Michael Krawitz of VMMA, and Dr. Alexander Sumach.
The Expo will also feature: multiple screenings and premiers of top films from the medical cannabis movement; the Howard Dover Comedy Extravaganja; a hemp clothing fashion show by Ha-Swesh; and the 2010 Marijuana Music Awards.
There are a limited number of vendor booths available for those interested in becoming an exhibitor and joining the wide array of medical cannabis, hemp product, and alternative medicine businesses and organizations that will be present at the Expo. There are also sponsorship opportunities that include a vendor booth and VIP tickets plus much more such as advertising opportunities in specialized magazines, logos on the Expo event posters, and advertising in our show guide.
For those interested in advertising, beyond what is available with the magazine, the Expo gives an opportunity to sponsor the event, which include four levels and many different forms of advertiser recognition, of which can be found on the Expo website given below or I can send the sponsorship details. In addition there is the exclusive opportunity to advertise in the 150,000 show guides that will be printed for the event and will be distributed at the Global Marijuana March in Toronto which had 20,000 in attendance last year, at local marijuana-related businesses in the GTA and medical cannabis compassion clubs. Along with this, the show guide will also be circulated in Issue #22 and #23 of Treating Yourself magazine, and distributed at the Expo itself. General admission tickets are $15/day and $25/weekend in advance. At the door, tickets will be $25/day and $50/weekend.
For those exhibitors or attendees who would like take there experience a step further, Treating Yourself is also hosting the TY Medical Cannabis Cup. The cost of the VIP pass is $350 in advance and if still available $500 at the event. The VIP Judges pass will include: 3-day entrance to the Expo; 20+ medical-grade cannabis samples to judge; free access to the Howard Dover Comedy Extravaganja on Friday evening where you will have VIP select, reserved seating; a Saturday evening boat cruise on Lake Ontario where you will receive a 4-star dinner, free non-alcoholic drinks and cash-only bar, and participate in many exciting events asides from your pleasurable judging duties; on Sunday VIP select seating at the Marijuana Music Awards ceremony and the Medical Cannabis Cup Awards ceremony; and you will receive a commerative TY Medical Cannabis Cup hemp t-shirt from Ha-Swesh.
